1. It is narrated from Umar bin Khattab in a report narrated through incompletechains of narrators that the money paid to singing girl is unlawful and hersinging is prohibited and watching her is also prohibited and her payment ispaying the cost of a dog and the cost of the dog is unlawful.
2. It is attributed to the Prophet that he said: Some people would come in myUmmah, who would legalize wearing of silk, drinking wine and instruments of music.(1)(2)
3. A tradition is narrated from Anas and Abu Amama attributed to Prophetthat: “Almighty Allah sent me as the mercy and guidance for people and todestroy instruments of music and things from the period of Ignorance.”3
4. The following tradition is narrated from Anas bin Malik through incompletechains of narrators that: “On Judgment Day, molten lead would be pouredinto the ears of one, who sits before a singing girl to listen to her.”4
5. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) said on the day of conquest of Mecca: “Iam sent to break the tambourine and flute.” Companions came out andconfiscated them from youths and broke them.5
